About the Project
The project's objective is to improve food security and nutrition in Batken, Kyrgyzstan, by strengthening the capacities and scaling up activities of the Mol Tushum Cooperative, a farmers’ cooperative. Through this project, smallholder farmers, including women, are expected to increase their productivity and income, improve their capacities for sustainable water and land resource management, strengthen the farmer-market linkages, and reduce risks and vulnerabilities, which helps to build a more resilient food system in the face of the shocks, such as global food crisis, climate change and violent conflicts.
